Flowers from Cornwall

Rhododendron

The famous Cornish gardens are simply stunning.; In this small corner of the United Kingdom, a place where cold and dreary days outnumber the sunny, flowers bloom, grass grows, and the colors of nature coalesce in one place.

Details

The Great Gardens of Cornwall include some of the most beautiful, unique, and famous gardens in the United Kingdom.  The three pictured here are peaceful and dog-friendly Trewithen (the top pictures), the amazingly original Eden Project made of two huge biodomes rebuilt in old china clay pits (the middle pictures), and the unique Lost Gardens of Heligan which seek to recreate a formal 20th century garden.  They also offer discounts if you go to more than one Great Garden during your visit.

Each garden also has nice eating areas though the best, by far, were the eating areas at the Eden Project.  We could have spent all day there just looking around, eating, and hanging out.

Thanks so much Christine! The Cornwall gardens are definitely some of the most beautiful in the world --- at least that we've seen.

Best destinations in Devon and Cornwall
The Eden Project is what I picture paradise would look like, and for a nature lover there is no better place to see
'nature outside nature'...I recommend it for everyone who's visiting Cornwall.

Eden Project is one of my all-time favorite gardens. I agree with you - if you're in the area, definitely head there for a visit.

I'm so glad you went to Heligan - I thought it was beautiful, the Eden project is good, but it feels a bit too do-gooding and worthy, rather than simply a place to relax!

Aww, I loved Eden! On the day we went, it was so peaceful because there weren't many folks there and we got to sit and hang out in the gorgeous gardens. Heligan was actually MUCH busier! But, we liked them both very much.
