Schonbrunn Castle garden and side view of palace

We're at Schonbrunn Palace --- the summer palace of the Hapsburg monarchs, the most visited attraction in Vienna, home of the famed Empress Sisi, and containing two miles of meticulously crafted gardens.  We're palace/castle/big-amazing-home junkies and we've seen some pretty impressive feats of expensive architecture.  The Royal Palace in Madrid, for example, has an entire room built floor to ceiling in ceramics imported from China.  I won't say that the Schonbrunn Palace itself can compare with the Royal Palace in Madrid or that in Bangkok .  But, the gardens are simply spectacular and some of the most beautiful we've seen in the world.
